  • Kiva Rapattoni

    General Manager

Kiva spent 7 years in radio & advertising managing 50+ people at a time, and learning the ins & outs of the entertainment industry. Then her family's growing tanning salon business took off, and after 20 years and multiple locations, they finally decided to sell it and move on. Kiva is the mother of 3 amazing children, all of which are completely different from one another! Her oldest was a competitive cheerleader for more than 12 years who went on to cheer at Texas Christian University and is now in graduate school to become a Speech Language Pathologist. Her middle child started at SOR Dallas when he was just 12 (one of the original Dallas students 10 years ago) and has gone on to seek music professionally, even placing 3rd on the 15th season of American Idol. Her youngest child plays all instruments at the Dallas School of Rock currently and has done multiple tours with the most elite students in the nation as a National School of Rock AllStar. For the past decade, Kiva has been a proud parent and supporter of our program. When the position opened for a new General Manager at her HOME School of Rock, she was ready to jump in and take our school to the next level. She has never met a dog she didn't like and rumor has it that she makes a pretty mean gumbo.

  • Erik Stolpe

    Music Director

Erik started playing the family piano by ear and singing in choir at church and school by the time he was school age. His passion only grew and as a child and teen he took lessons and played with a variety ensembles and bands on piano, guitar, clarinet, violin, voice and bass. In high school Erik studied piano at Southern Methodist University's Piano Preparatory program and eventually received a minor in music from University of North Texas, taking courses in everything from history and theory to Jazz and the music of Frank Zappa. With Erik on keys and occasionally lending his talents on acoustic guitar, his eclectic rock band The Raven Charter received praise for its technical prowess and high energy live shows. During their eleven year run, they filled up rooms in Denton and Dallas and shared the stage with acts like Sevendust, Periphery and Nonpoint. In recent years, Erik has branched out, playing a diverse cover catalog for events and weddings and sitting in with several pop, rock and country artists. Today, he is the bassist for singer-songwriter Troy Cartwright’s touring band. The group travels extensively and has a continually growing resume, opening for southern staples like Pat Green, Turnpike Troubadours and Randy Rogers, to name a few. Erik joined School of Rock in February 2016 and enjoys teaching, learning and coaching all styles and ages.

  • Dave Escamilla

Instructor: Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Rehearsals

My name is David Escamilla, I'm 25 years old and have been playing music since I was 12. I've been in multiple touring acts that have traveled the globe. 5 years ago my band Crown the Empire was signed to Rise Records and Outerloop Management. I have worked with countless big name producers and songwriters as well as experienced artists. I gained a reputation as a "screamer" in the industry and transitioned into singing and playing guitar for the band as well. But before I even considered screaming, I took singing and guitar lessons to hone in on my craft. I have had the amazing experience of playing festivals like Download in the UK, Soundwave in Australia, SxSw, Austin City Limits, Warped Tour (multiple times), among others. I got to tour with The Used, and share the stage with bands like Judas Priest, KISS, and more, and was even featured on the cover of AP magazine a few times. Once I fell in love with music, many other aspects of music became a passion of mine. All in all, I love to inspire and influence people in a positive way.

  • Richie Rodriguez

    Instructor: Guitar

I began playing guitar at 8 years old and fell in love with music and playing an instrument right away. At first, I was plucking my way through 90's rock songs that came on the radio and tapes that my parents had. After a few years, I was beginning to be able to play along with more difficult songs after I became inspired by Classic Rock groups, such as Led Zeppelin. Playing guitar continued to be my first love, but since there was no place for me to play with others at the time, I joined the school Orchestra in 6th grade playing Violin. I continued to play Violin in school until 11th grade until I decided to try and pursue other musical interests such as Drum Line and Jazz Band until finally I started a high school rock band with some classmates. We played at several venues around the DFW metroplex until ultimately, after a year, everyone decided to go their separate ways. Over the past couple of years, I have gained a renewed love and appreciation for playing music and I've been pursuing it in many different ways. Teaching people to play a music and showing them what they are capable of whether they knew it or not is an exciting new venture for me that I am glad to be a part of!

In 2006 he started Dirty Little Mouth with friend and fellow engineer Matt Aslanian. An 8 person extravaganza that sounded like a mix between Zeppelin and Sly and the Family Stone. After recording an EP and playing shows for a few years the band decided venture in different directions. In 2013 Seth started with the Dallas School of Rock as a vocal and guitar instructor and eventually made his way to the Frisco School as a Music Director. Now he’s back in Dallas!
