I've been a mechanic and technician for almost 25 years now. I had started in electronics, taking one semester of electrical engineering at State University of New York Farmingdale college. During that time my vehicle problems drove my interest toward the automotive field. So I switched directions and attended an automotive trade school for 1 year, then got my A.A.S. degree from SUNY Farmingdale in Automotive Engineering.
From there I have worked at two major shops: Pep Boys for about 3.5 years, and Land Rover Denver South for 5 years. In that time, I have earned ASE Master Tech status, as well as achieving Land Rover Master Tech status in 2004. From August 2004 through March 2005 I was an instructor at Denver Automotive and Diesel College, teaching the Brake system and Manual driveline classes. I opened JC’s in April 2005, knowing that Rover owners needed an option to the dealership.
Dave M
General Manager
Dave has joined the JC's team in June '21. Jeff C has known Dave for over 15 years, as they have been part of the same off-road club together. Over those years we have learned a lot about each other and our experiences and roles in the automotive industry gained mutual respect and recognized our alignment in the core values of a business that cares deeply about our customers.
Dave's background includes 10yrs with the Air Force, 5 yrs in the reserves, and roughly 30 in multiple dealerships in customer service and management.
His hobbies range from off-roading in his built XJ Jeep, to many years drag racing his Oldsmobile/Buick, to attending the Comicon with his friends and family.
Craig H
Service Manager
Craig has over 15 years’ experience with Land Rover, working at both Land Rover Denver East & Land Rover Honolulu. He is both a Rover and off-road enthusiast. His expertise and good nature have been a great asset since joining our team in 2012.
Leif P
Lead Technician
Leif has returned as of Feb 2014. Leif worked with us previously from 2009-2013 as our Service Advisor, and worked with me at Land Rover Denver South as well. His strong diagnostic and mechanical abilities (as well as being a long time owner of both Land Rover and Audi vehicles) makes him a great asset.
Rob Q
Parts Mgr at 4747 S. Santa Fe location
Rob has joined the JC's Team in Sept '19, bringing with him 12+ years of aftermarket automotive parts experience, ranging from wholesale warehousing and delivering (500,000 + miles) to purchasing and inventory control and most things in between. A Colorado native, Rob’s family roots date back to the settling of Ft Collins in 1883. Rob spends his free time in the mountains when the weather is nice and writing in the winter months.

Vehicle Alignment
Keep your alignment in spec for good gas mileage and tire wear.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A TIRE ALIGNMENT?
There are a couple ways to tell if your car needs a tire alignment. If you've noticed one or more of these indicators, you should have your alignment checked by a licensed service technician immediately.
Uneven tread wear
Vehicle pulling to the left or right
Your steering wheel is off center when driving straight
Steering wheel vibration
I've included a link to Bridgestone tire's site explaining vehicle alignment measurements and what they mean.
With our genuine Land Rover, and aftermarket diagnostic equipment, we can diagnose any issue with your vehicle. And even perform updates to your vehicle's software.
Warning lights can come on for a multitude of reasons, and while you may not notice a problem it is always smart to have them checked out as soon as possible.
As each generation of vehicle comes out there are more and more warning lights that could come on, not necessarily because there are more things to go wrong, but that more existing systems are being monitored by the vehicles computers.
Warning lamp status is broken down into three categories:
1. Red Warning lights: Primary warning, must be investigated immediately.
2. Amber Warning lights: Secondary warning, some indicate a system is in operation, others indicate seek assistance as soon as possible.
a. NOTE: A flashing CEL (Check engine light) indicates the vehicle should not be driven, as further damage may occur.
3. Green & Blue lights: Are status indicators – i.e. Directionals, Headlights, etc.
Engine Work
Your engine is the heart and soul of your vehicle. And we are here to keep her ticking away nicely. Being specialists in the field, we know how best to maintain and repair your vehicle. From regular scheduled maintenance and minor repairs, to larger job that may entail major disassembly or removal of your engine. Don’t wait for a Check Engine Light to come on if you’re feeling something is not running right or there is a strange smell, some issues may not trigger the light.
Drivetrain
Your drivetrain consists of the Engine, Transmission, Transfer case, Drive shafts, Differentials (front & rear), axle shafts, and hubs. These all need to work in unison to “put the power to the road”.Simply put: The engine creates the power, the transmission shifts gears for various speeds, the transfer case splits the output to the front & rear, and the differentials split the output side to side. The driveshafts & axle shafts are couplings between the transfer case, differentials and hubs. Hubs are what hold your brake rotors and wheels to the vehicle.
Brakes
Brakes are the number one safety item on your vehicle, for you and those around you. In a panic stop situation there is little more assuring than hitting the brake pedal and having your vehicle stop quickly and securely with no unusual steering feedback, and little more fearsome than that same situation and questioning if your vehicle will stop while the steering wheel shakes in your hands or the vehicle pulls right or left. Brakes have evolved to include many other systems: ABS (Antilock braking), TC (Traction Control), DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), and who knows what’s next. That is why we here at JC’s British only use high quality brakes from well-established suppliers. Many of these suppliers have also worked hard to engineer products that will give you better service life and reduced noise in comparison to the OE components.
Suspension
Your suspension is what isolates the bumper and dips in the road from your seat, controls body roll when cornering, and fore/aft movement under braking and acceleration. Suspension wear is often not noticed by the driver as it is often a slow degradation of the bushings and joints in the suspension over many thousands of miles. We know what to look for to keep your suspension in good form, ensuring comfortable and safe driving. Air suspension systems add another level of comfort, and complexity. We are experts in understanding the systems used, how to maintain, diagnose and repair them. Routine inspections and maintenance can keep your vehicle performing like new, maximize tire life, and avoid inopportune failures.
From the routine Oil and Filter service, to larger Manufacturer suggested maintenance interval packages, JC's British & 4x4 is here for you.
Did you know that we can handle your general maintenance service while still under warranty? It's true, you do not have to go to the dealer.
We can service your vehicle for any needs outside of a factory warranty claim.
Outfitting
We're here to help you outfit your vehicle to suite your needs. Be at an evening on the town, or an overlanding trip across the continent. JC's can build it for you.
We work with suppliers from the UK, and all across Europe, to the Aussies down under to offer you the best products available from companies like ARB, Bull Dog Winch, Compomotive, Old Man Emu, TerraFirma, Warn, Superwinch, Rhino-Rack, Frontrunner, and more!
