Fixed it in one trip.
Problem with the door not going down intermittently. Technician lubricated the door and springs, and tried it enough he finally managed to see the problem (a bad board) and fixed it in one trip.

Quickly, accurately and were courteous.
Garage door spring broke and door could not be open. Company was called and they responded quickly, accurately and were courteous (Steve). Door was fixed quickly - same morning as called - and works fine. All "A's" except price; I think the price was reasonable but have nothing to compare it to. Could not wait to get multiple estimates, but when I asked we did recieve a parts discount (for seniors or military, not sure which).. Went very well. No issues, complaints or suggestions, except that I'll use this company again if the need arises

I appreciated the diagnosis and communication
Diagnosis, adjustment of garage door opener and lubrication of all wheels and pulleys. When I called to set up an appointment for an estimate I talked to the actual owner of the company. He asked enough questions that he was able to determine two possible issues with my garage door so that the technician would bring parts with him so to not waste time having to go get parts when they arrived for the service call. Pete was the technician that was dispatched to repair my garage door. Pete took the time to troubleshoot the issue then explained his findings and pricing before starting the work. Luckily I only needed some adjustments and lubrication of some wheels. I appreciated the diagnosis and communication before starting the work. Pete told me that the issue that caused my sagging chain could be caused by worn gears - he also told me that he felt the opener should last for another 5 years before the gears would need replacing. He could have taken advantage of me but did not. I appreciated that. Pete looked over the whole system making some adjustments for some poorly adjusted operations by the original installers and did not charge me for the extra service. I would use Pete and Ahwatukee Garage Door again even though Pete is a Michigan fan and I an Ohio State fan.

YOU CAN TRUST STEVE!! My neighbor gave me the recommendation for Foothills Garage Door, and I'm *so* glad I called. He gave a quote over the phone, which not all shops will do. His low-key and low-pressure demeanor was comforting, and he is trustworthy. When he arrived my system needed a cheaper part than he had quoted and he actually adjusted the price and didn't stick to his original quote (I wouldn't have known the difference). When there was extra work needed he showed me the problem (and it was only a $4 part). When it comes to having work done (car, home, etc) the trust factor is more important than price to me. Unlike the big name places in the Valley, Foothills is locally owned and operated, and the prices are comparable to the ""coupon"" prices at the Valpak places - except no coupon was needed, and no upsells are offered like the other guys. Even when I queried about a new, quieter garage door opener (for a future day) he told me to wait until September when LiftMaster ""always runs their sale"". How's that for customer service, actually passing a sale along instead of pocketing the extra!! He even lubed up my existing opener in the mean time. Steve arrived within an hour of my call, same day repair service with no surcharge (I know because I didn't ask for a same day appointment until after the price quote).

Fast, professional service that I'll definitely use again
Called around 8:45am, had a technician out by 9:10am (20 minutes earlier than quoted even!) Bill diagnosed the problem, fixed the issue, and offered recommendations for the future. Fast, professional service that I'll definitely use again.

HE DID A FINE JOB THEN AS WELL.
REPLACED BROKEN GARAGE DOOR SPRING AND DID SOME MAINTENANCE WORK ON BOTH DOORS. I CALLED HIM ON THURSDAY AND HE WAS ABLE TO WORK ME IN THE FOLLOWING DAY. WHILE HE (STEVE) WAS HERE, HE ALSO LUBRICATED THE TRACKS AND REPLACED ANY LITTLE MISSING OR DAMAGED PARTS ON BOTH GARAGE DOORS. HE INSULATED OUR DOORS SEVERAL YEARS AGO . HE DID A FINE JOB THEN AS WELL.

Great service
Replaced a broken spring and checked over and lubricated everything else. The garage door spring broke on a Friday night. I called and got the answering machine (after hours) so called back again first thing Saturday just to make sure they had gotten the message. 2 hours later the repairman was at my door! Took about 1/2 an hour to fix and check everything over - extremely efficient and knowledgeable. Very friendly too. Great service - highly recommend!

We are thoroughly satisfied with Foothills Garage Doors.
Technician was punctual and knowledgeable. Did complete garage door tune-up. A different company had said all rollers needed replacing at cost of over $200. Foothills tech said only three rollers needed to be replaced, which he did; would have been significantly less than $200 if he replaced all of them but he said it wasn't necessary. We are thoroughly satisfied with Foothills Garage Doors. Courteous, efficient and professional.

Very honest, friendly and professional.
Replaced genie screw drive carriage and lubed all components. Tech showed up right on time and was able to diagnose and fix my door in 20 minutes. Very honest, friendly and professional. I will definitely recommend and use this company in the future.

I would definately recommend!
This year my husband drove the Chirstmas tree into the garage door (garage open, tree on top of car). I thought we would definately need to replace the door completely (there goes Christmas). The garage wouldn't budge and we had to leave it open all night. After calling 3 garage door specialists and getting voicemail or "booked until tomorrow" responses, Steve the owner sent his Christmas angel over right away, and the door is working better than ever! I would definately recommend! Christmas is saved and I will call them after the holidays when ready for a new door.

He did show up on time
I had them replace the springs and oil down my track system for my two car garage. The person that showed up to do the work was very nice and professional. He did show up on time. He did not seem to be in a hurry to finish the work or anything. My garage door works a lot better now and does not make squeaking noises.

Response was very good.
Wife did a little metal bending with her car on my poor garage door. The door was bent, off it's tracks and wouldn't close. I called Saturday morning around 10 am, at 3 pm he showed up. Within an hour my door was back in business. I was very pleased! I've used this company for other garage issues (broken spring, burnt capacitor) and they've always been responsive and did good work. Response was very good. His repair saved me money, because he didn't sell me on replacing the entire door.

It went very well
The owner came out with 3 hours notice on a hot Saturday morning to replace a broken torsion spring. Lubricated all moving parts as well. It's like having a new door. It went very well. The owner was pleasant and willing to come out on short notice. In fact, this is one of the few companies that works on the weekend.

Replacement of top section of door including glass panels as well as servicing of door and operator. They were very responsive to my need for timely service, personable, capable and professional. Replaced broken spring; lubricated mechanism. The repairman (Steve) was very nice, & took the time to clearly explain what happened & what my alternatives were. He noticed that our house was for sale, & was conscious of making a repair recommendation that was appropriate but still good quality. He worked quickly, & did a little extra, gratis, to make the door run more smoothly & quietly.

I knew I would use them again.
Replaced set of broken springs on my garage door. I called when my garage door would not open. Steve came within a couple hours (within the time frame promised). He determined the problem, went to get a part, and had the whole thing repaired and serviced in a short time. He was pleasant, efficient and knew what he was talking about. I used this company once several years ago and kept their number because my experience back then was good too and I knew I would use them again.

General maintenance. Serviced all parts including inside of garage door opener. Relocated safety reversing sensors which had been improperly located during original installation by different company years ago. Garage door had been sluggish and noisy; working well now. Service was thorough, technician professional and courteous, cost extremely fair. I recommend this company highly.

Awesome.
Steve fixed the wiring on our garage door and adjusted the cables and track. It went well. He showed up on time. He checked everything on the door and was honest in saying it didn't need additional maintenance. Not only does the door work better with the electrical components, but it also moves much more smoothly on its track. He charged a reasonable price ($83) and gladly accepted the coupon from Angie's List that brought it down to $76.

It was difficult getting this appointment scheduled, and I had to contact them multiple times in order to get it on their calendar, but once it was scheduled they arrived on time and worked quickly and professionally. The garage door opener is top quality and works flawlessly. I'm very happy with the work they did.
