  • Ruth

We are Ruth & Kyle Arbaugh, the proud owners of The Goddard School of Lewis Center and The Goddard School of Reynoldsburg. We have two young children who both attend Goddard and have dedicated our lives to the education and care of young children. As owners we bring a unique education and business background to our Schools. Ruth was the Dean of a private elementary school and elementary school teacher for over a decade before we joined the Goddard family. She has a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University as well as additional certification from Harvard University and Yale University. Kyle grew up in Northeast Ohio and spent 15 years as a technology entrepreneur. Prior to our Goddard School ownership his most recent venture was a financial education platform. He attended Ohio Northern University and has a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Marketing. Our passion is to build a School that helps develop young minds and create a welcoming community for all our parents, students and teachers.

Miss Erin has been at The Goddard School for 12 years, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Wittenberg University. She has wanted to be a teacher since she was little and played school with her stuffed animals. Her favorite part of working with children is watching them achieve their “a-ha” moments! There’s nothing better than watching a child’s eyes light up with the excitement of mastering new skills. Miss Erin’s favorite children’s books are Berenstain Bear books and the Pigeon books by Mo Willems. She has fond memories of reading Berenstain Bear books each night before bed. In their free time, they’re a writer and someday they will complete NaNoWriMo, they’re sure of it. Along with writing, they’re an avid but inexperienced sewist, making cloaks and skirts when the mood strikes. At home, Tchr. Maye gets to see their partner (Shiloh), their two cats (Thyme and Riddle), their bird (Lucio), and their ferret (Gwin). They have a love for random facts and are very enthusiastic about sharing them - especially if it’s about voice actors since Tchr. Maye’s special hidden talent is an ear for voices! Did you know that Baloo from the Jungle Book and Thomas O’Malley from Aristocats have the same voice actor? What about Kaa and Winnie the Pooh? Bring a voice actor, receive a fact! Their favorite children’s books are the Percy Jackson books and Mo Willems’ Pigeon series, they always stop in the bookstore to see which pigeon adventures they have available.
